- Become familiar with the COVID-19 Alert Level System and the activities permitted and prohibited at each Alert Level.
- Provide information and training to staff/volunteers on:
- The symptoms of COVID-19, and that they must stay home if they are unwell or symptomatic.
- Preventive measures, including frequent handwashing, cough and sneeze etiquette, and frequent cleaning and disinfection of high-touch surfaces.
- Proper sanitation of public spaces.
- Personal protective equipment requirements (see https://www.gov.nl.ca/covid-19/information-sheets-for-businesses-and-workplaces/covid-19-guidanc…pe-for-employers/) .
- Provide staff with proper personal protective equipment and sanitation supplies.
- Masks are required while inside, except when seated, provided physical distancing of two metres can be achieved between individuals or bubbles, in accordance with the Special Measures Order.
- Implement policies to ensure physical distancing recommendations are followed, including contactless check-in and check-out.
- Bingo hall operators must ask staff, volunteers, and guests to provide their names and contact information (phone number or email address) for the purpose of Public Health contact tracing, if necessary. Provision of this information is voluntary, and records should be kept for 14 days only.
Signage
- Post signage reminding customers and staff to:
- adhere to physical distancing requirements at all times;
- not enter if sick and leave the premises if they become symptomatic; and
- practice proper hygiene (wash hands, cover coughs and sneezes).
Hygiene
- Provide a Health Canada approved hand sanitizer (these typically contain at least 60% alcohol) near the entrance to the facility. Signage should be posted at these areas asking patrons to use sanitizer.
- Whenever possible, bingo materials (e.g. cards and dabbers) should not be handled by more than one person. If dabbers are shared, they should be cleaned and disinfected after each session.
- Food should not be provided/allowed, unless there is a restaurant on site in which case individuals should only be permitted to eat in dining areas provided they meet the COVID-19 guidelines established for restaurants.
Physical Distancing
- A maximum of 100 people are allowed in the hall, including staff, volunteers and patrons provided physical distancing can be maintained, with restrictions. Large venues (including theatres and performing arts venues, community centres, other entertainment venues, and sports venues) with a capacity of 500 people or more that wish to host gatherings of more than 100 people may submit an operating plan for review/approval by a Service NL Environmental Health Officer.
- Physical distancing of two metres between individuals must be maintained at all times unless physical barriers are in place. Arrange the facility to support physical distancing between all staff, volunteers, and patrons by:
- Developing seating plans to ensure two metres distance between staff and patrons.
- Place floor markers for two meter distancing at sales stations/cash office.
- Limit the number of individuals in the washrooms at one time.
- Stagger breaks for staff and volunteers.
- Establish an online/telephone system for patrons to RSVP to attend at a specific time/event.
- Where possible, establish different entry and exits from the bingo facility. Stagger entry into, and exit from, the bingo hall (e.g., by dismissing individuals by household or section, rather than all at once).
- Identify areas, such as lobbies, where crowding and bottlenecks are common, and using volunteers, staff, or barriers to redirect people who may gather in these areas.
- Use directional arrows to enable required physical distancing when entering and exiting the aisles.

Enhanced Sanitation
- For guidance on cleaning, see: https://www.gov.nl.ca/covid-19/files/factsheet-covid-19-environmental-cleaning-NL.pdf.
- ATMs and vending machines should not be in use if they cannot be regularly sanitized.
- Washrooms should be open, but increased cleaning and disinfection must take place. Ensure washrooms are always supplied with liquid soap and paper towels, and that warm running water is available. Contactless garbage bins should be available and emptied frequently.
- Set a rotation schedule for regular cleaning and disinfecting high-touch areas (e.g., countertops, tables, tills, debit machines, calculators, and bathrooms).
- Do not allow volunteers to share equipment. If necessary, sanitize equipment between use.
- All occupied tables, chairs and stations should be cleaned and disinfected after every event.

If you decide to go with the traditional paper games, we have daubers for purchase. The buy-in for morning sessions includes 10 bingo games, with nine bingo cards, or 9-on. The matinee and evening sessions feature 12 games with 12-on.

House Special Pack: Purchase a House Special pack to receive additional games that offer a higher progressive pot. Games are played every third game.
Fish Bowl Progressive Pot
We’ll draw a fish bowl number before each morning, matinee, and evening session. Each time the fish bowl number is called during the regular session and no one bingos, the pot progresses (amount is designated for the particular session in play). When someone bingos on a fish bowl number (and they’ve purchased a fish bowl ticket for that session), that winner is awarded the fish bowl pot amount in addition to the prize amount for that game. Once the progressive amount is won, the fish bowl pot is reset.
To play in the fish bowl pot games, you must purchase an additional ticket for $1. The pot starts at $100 for morning sessions and $200 for matinee and evening sessions.
Bingo Games
Before regular bingo sessions, we typically play warm-up and early bird sessions. These sessions have a smaller payout than our regular games. Refer to the weekly bingo schedule below to see when we’re playing warm-up, early bird, and regular sessions as well as what each game is paying out.
